This Limited Edition had a print run of 750 copies, of which 200 are signed by the author. This copy is one of 200 signed limited copies, coming from the library of Chuck Miller, signed on the limitation page by Jack Vance! Although the text says these 200 copies were signed and numbered, Miller says that "none are numbered". Gold cloth with black pictorial cover, and black titled spine. Jacket art, repeated on cover and frontispiece by Ned Dameron. Originally printed in Space Stories 12/52; later abridged as Slaves of the Klau in a 1968 Ace Double, This version is the first in Hardback and contains the original magazine text with Vance's original title.
